Giveaway Information

This page contains important information about Wi-Fi giveaways. Read through all of the information carefully if you plan to participate in or host giveaways in the room.

Giveaways Overview

Wi-Fi giveaways allow users to distribute Pokémon as a way to give back to the community, Pokémon found in user hosted giveaways are often high-value or high-quality. There are two types of giveaways, Lottery (luck) and Question (Pokémon trivia). Giveaways are hosted voluntarily and are usually unscheduled. Please do not ask when the next giveaway will occur, and avoid complaining if you do not win.

We currently support giveaways in the following Switch titles:
Legends: Z-A
Scarlet & Violet
Sword & Shield
Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

To make sure you never miss a giveaway you can type /rfaq ga in chat and click Notify button! You will then be notified whenever a new giveaway begins.

We have 3 defined types of giveaways:
  • Approved Giveaways: must go through an approval form and get hosted in a banner in Wi-Fi. Form can be found by typing /rfaq ga in chat
  • Unverified Giveaways: do not require approval from staff
  • Unapproved Giveaways: for prizes that are NOT allowed in the room - users caught hosting GAs for such prizes will be punished accordingly

APPROVED GIVEAWAYS
Your Pokémon must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to be given away via the approval system (and must be done so if it meets these requirements):
  • Shiny Pokémon of any kind
  • Event or Legendary Pokémon of any kind
  • Pokémon with transfer exclusive movesets
  • Non-shiny flawless Pokémon with competitively usable natures
  • Non-shiny battle ready Pokémon (must be HyperTrained if IVs are not ideal for competitive play)
  • Any Pokémon that requires proof (add the link to the "other information" section of the form)

  • 31/31/31/31/31/31 | Perfect spread.
  • 31/31/31/0/31/31 | Perfect spread (Physical).
  • 31/0/31/31/31/31 | Perfect spread (Special).
  • 31/31/31/0/31/0 | Perfect spread (Physical in Trick Room).
  • 31/0/31/31/31/0 | Perfect spread (Special in Trick Room).
5IV Flawless Spreads:
  • 31/31/31/x/31/31 | Flawless spread (Physical).
  • 31/x/31/31/31/31 | Flawless spread (Special).
  • 31/31/31/x/31/0 | Flawless spread (Physical in Trick Room).
  • 31/x/31/31/31/0 | Flawless spread (Special in Trick Room).
  • 31/0/x/31/31/0 | Flawless spread (Double 0 in TR with X on HP, Def or SpDef).

Any Perfect/Flawless spread must come with a nature that compliments the Pokémon in a competitive setting. Mints and Hyper Trained IVs are acceptable on Pokémon that are not breedjects.

UNVERIFIED GIVEAWAYS
The following types of Pokémon can be given away unverified:
  • Breedjects: any non-shiny, non-BRd bred mons regardless of IVs or natures.
  • Unremarkable Pokémon that do not require proof.
    • An unremarkable Pokémon is defined as a Pokémon that is not shiny, legendary, or obtained through an event distribution, and which does not meet the criteria for an approved GA.
  • Physical event distribution codes.

An unverified Giveaway means you can make a post in the room to explain what you are giving away, and how a user can receive their freebie.

Room Staff reserve the right to ask you to cease offering your unverified-GA eligible prize, if it's deemed to be causing chat disruption or for any other justifiable reason.

UNAPPROVED GIVEAWAYS
The following types of Pokémon CANNOT be given away through any means:
  • Anything not listed above
  • Pokémon still inside eggs
  • Hacked or illegal Pokémon
  • Non-self obtained Pokémon

We have a special protocol for those who wish to Giveaway hacked/genned Pokémon, be sure to PM a member of /roomstaff and let us know your intentions.


Disclaimer - The final verdict on whether a Pokémon is eligible for giveaway or not is up to the discretion of the staff. If you are unsure about whether your Pokémon meets the requirements, please ask a member of /roomstaff before filling out the giveaway form.
Giveaways Guidelines
Giveaway Rules:
  1. You may only give away legitimate, self-obtained Pokémon
  2. If your Pokémon needs proof to trade it needs proof to be given away
  3. No inappropriate/offensive trainer names
  4. Held items are considered an extra, not the main prize
  5. Do not attempt to exploit the Giveaway system in any capacity
Hosting Eligibility:
  • Your account must be autoconfirmed on the site. This is achieved by having an account registered for over a week and winning a rated battle.
  • You must promptly give the prize to the winner (Within 30 minutes). For this reason, ensure that you have plenty of time to spare before hosting one.
  • Only generally well behaved members of the community can host giveaways. Poorly behaved users, particularly those with involved with hacked Pokémon and scams cannot host Giveaways. This also extends to major behavioural issues at staff discretion.
  • You cannot host Giveaways if you have an existing Giveaway ban for breaking the rules. These last for a whole week.
Participation Eligibility:
  • Your account must be autoconfirmed on the site. This is achieved by having an account registered for over a week and winning a rated battle.
  • You must promptly claim your Giveaway prize. You have 10 minutes to respond to a confirmed Giveaway win.
  • Do not double dip Giveaways. Do not join a Giveaway of a Pokémon you have already won unless otherwise stated by the Giveaway host.
  • Do not make negative comments. This is unwanted and will result in a swift Giveaway ban.
  • You cannot join a Giveaway if you have an outstanding room punishment.
